But Above All......

I didn't cry when Captain America died
Didn't marvel at Super Man's dare
Didn't phase me, no matter how hard I tried
To the Devil Dogs they just don't compare
Call then leather necks and jar heads
Call them the few and the proud
You like that you can sleep safe in bed
You like to voice your opinion out loud
Their the ones who fight for free will
Since 1775, their the ones who do good
From Iwo Jima and hearts standing still
To the battle cries of Belleau Wood
The blood stripe, represents the casulaties served
Included in the hymn along with Tripoli
Reminding us, they never lose their nerve
Super man seems like nothing to me
The Mameluke sword and "Semper Fidelis"
Dress blues and Nov 10th
To the ones who live and the ones we miss
They're heroes, truly heaven sent
Be thankful for your freedom
Reach out and shake their hand
Fighting since before WW1
Let me ask, who's your super-man?
