This is my revelation
A chance to make a declaration
To prove I can stand on my own
That I can learn to love being alone
I'll always be a friend through thick and thin
But I won't worry about what might have been
I won't concern myself with the past
Or make myself sick over where we're at
I've been through worse, and always come out fine
I think I've become good friends with this thing called time
I want you in my life, and to have me back is your choice
But this is my way of standing tall with my own voice
I have nothing to prove to anyone but me
Because I'm the one who determines how my life will be
Don't get me wrong, I think about you everyday
But I realize without you, I can still be ok
